Throwback Thursday Before Blogging - Counted Cross Stitch
One of my favorite hobbies used to be doing counted cross stitch. I'm a little bit older now, and it's more difficult to see those tiny holes, unless I wear my jeweler's glasses! And, my favorite time of the year is Christmas, so I would usually stitch something related to that wonderful time of the year.
Here are two projects that I'd kept, both done in 1987. The photos aren't the greatest because of the glass over the image, and these were both laying at an angle when I took the pics.
Take care and God Bless!

Counted cross stitch used to be one of my favorite hobbies too, years ago. I have thought many times how I would like to do another project. There's something about it that is so satisfying. I did a lot of "beachy" type things, a Pelican, a crab, sea shells and once I did a beautiful Wedding sampler for my brother and his wife. Unfortunately that marriage did not last and I now have the sampler back and don't quite know what to do with it, LOL! Those are beautiful Christmas cross stitch items! I have a few of those too! Thanks for re-inspiring me!
Those are beautiful keepsakes that you can enjoy year after year, the fact that you made them only add to their value.
