Another Great Hollywood Actor Gone

Another of my favorite actors has died.  Cliff Robertson, famous for his portrayal of John F. Kennedy in PT 109, died Saturday.  His 88th birthday was Friday. 

It's ironic that the Military Channel had PT109 on Friday night.  Maybe it was in honor of Cliff's birthday!

TEXTURE TUESDAY - MOVIE LOVIN' eDITION

Okay, it's Tuesday again, and our texture challenge this week is "movie titles."  We were to take a photo and use at least one of Kim Klassen's textures to convey the movie title.

 I hope you can figure out what movie this photo depicts.  If you've read my Pinning and Singing post from the weekend, you see the male star of this particular flick.

 This is the photo before adding Kim's textures.

Here I added 2 layers of her newest texture "1,2,3", and 1 layer of her "history" texture.  If I remember correctly, all three layers were at 100% opacity, soft light, multiply, and multiply respectively.  I also adjusted the levels to darken the original a bit.

Well, have you guess which movie I chose?  Bridges of Madison County, of course!

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Theme 1966

Hey Everyone! 

I'm linking this to Natasha's Pinning and Singing Weekend Linky Party! 

Do you remember all the good roles Clint Eastwood has had?  That man is so talented!  Well, maybe he was just a hunk!  He is in the same league as John Wayne, playing mostly characters that reflect himself.

I loved this theme from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly in high school.  This was one of the original spaghetti westerns, so called because it was originally done in Italy and in Italian!


Here are a few more you might remember, especially when he played Rowdy Yates on television's RAWHIDE.  He was just a youngster, or so it seemed.

{Texture Tuesday} Aurora eDition

Whoa!  It's Tuesday! Oh my gosh...almost missed it.  Thanks to Allison at Alli-n-son for her email with a BIG reminder!!!

Well, I had a photo all ready to go, but changed it to this one.  My husband, sister, and I went to Seattle last fall, stopping at Mt Rushmore in South Dakota on the way home.  We went on the path up toward the magnificent carving of 4 of our presidents: Washington, Jefferson, T. Roosevelt, and Lincoln.  I pooped out half way there, but Hubby and Sis managed to go as far as was allowed and took some photos that are a different angle than normally seen of the monument.

The weather was perfect that day in September!  See how blue the sky was, and cloudless!  This was on the same path Nicholas Cage and company were on in National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets.  Pretty cool, huh?! 

Here's my "after" shot of the monument, using Kim Klassen's "aurora" texture - multiply @ 78%, both photo and text - hard light @ 100%.

Hopefully, I'll be able to remember next week's post without an email reminder! LOL!
